Authentic Imagination
If creativity is the outcome, imagination is the means. Like two lovers tied by an invisible string, you cannot have one without the other.
It is when we let our imagination run free that our best and most precious ideas are born. Our creative process is rooted in curiosity – as we explore the world around us and form bonds with our clients, a vision begins to take shape. Creating unique designs for – and with – our beloved couples gives us purpose. And bringing them to life gives tremendous joy.
LOVE NOTES
Meet Sof
While her time at school taught her a lot about her art form, it also lifted the curtain on the tremendous impact floristry has on the Earth. Lead by her love for Mother Nature, Sof learnt more sustainable ways of working so she could honour the Earth in her blooms, not bring more harm. Today, Burnt Sienna Flowers has a fully sustainable ethos.
From art and nature to warmth and colour – lots and lots of colour – Sof has infused her whole heart and soul into her floristry. Including the name, which comes from her favourite earthy-red painting pigment, Burnt Sienna.
When she’s not flowering, you can find Sof in the garden, listening to the magpies, watching the bees and sipping slowly on her morning coffee.
Burnt Sienna Flowers first bloomed when founder and artist Sof realised all she painted was flowers. With such a love for beautiful blooms, a deep appreciation for the natural world and an innate creativity, Sof knew that floristry was her calling and has been doing it ever since.
To Sof, floristry is like creating a 3D painting. Just as brushstrokes on a canvas, each stem, petal and bloom combine to create a wonderful piece of art. Her approach to her practice is authentic and creative – rooted in experimentation as much as her formal floristry training, which she received from Pearsons School of Floristry.
